"An intriguing journalism serial killer investigation story that unfortunately lacked substance. It tries to provide similar elements to Zodiac, but it didn’t have layers of excitement or suspense needed to keep me engaged. Felt pretty generic in both its writing and story structure. The highlight for me though was Carrie Coon. Loved her presence in the film. Ends up being a pretty forgettable “thriller”."

"Boston Strangler is a true crime film from the journalism perspective and I thought it was okay, the performances are solid from the entire cast, especially Keira Knightley and the true story is somewhat compelling and the runtime keeps the film tight, but the lack of color and exploration held this film back a bit, but it does fall into a lot of stereotypes that journalism films fall into, and it does tend to drag a little bit. Not knowing any info about the story probably kept me more interested then someone who’s more familiar. The slight twist in the 3rd act definitely made the film more entertaining. Although this isn’t on the level of Zodiac even though it tries to look like it. Still a solid true crime to watch."

"I thought it was good. Keira Knightley’s accent was distracting. Not that it was bad, just I’ve never heard her do an American accent. It was weird. I’m not familiar with the Boston Strangler, other than the name. And Netflix hasn’t done a docuseries on it yet. So this seemed super fictionalized until the end with the “where are they now” text. Very interesting story. "
"Slow but quite good. Amazing how women’s position have progressed from the 60s not sure I could have survived living in such a sexism time. today it’s the detectives and police that do the work of these journalists yet interesting how Boston police didn’t take the Boston Strangler seriously. Different. Wouldn’t watch it again but now I have learnt something new. "
