"The struggle for beauty as we age . Much more difficult for celebrities or here the 19th century royals. Empress Elisabeth is unsatisfied with the limitations of her world and seeks small rebellions which are poorly received. This film follows the trend of inserting anachronisms to pep it up. A corsage is both a flower arrangement and the upper part of a woman’s blouse. Here perhaps Sisi is the corsage."
