This is the first time I think going in blind really skewed my perception of this film. First and foremost I mainly watched it for Julia Gardner Iโm literally in love with her as a actress. Ever since Ruth in Ozark I just want to watch every project she is apart of. I think if I went into this film with the knowledge I know now I would have enjoyed it a little more. Apparently Kitty Green is known for making these type of films. Greenโs uneasy slow-burn as the two women smile off an escalation of misogynistic microaggressions. Had I known it was based off a documentary from a real hotel in Australia I think it would have helped. One thing that really held it back for me is because it never really went full thriller. I spent such a long time waiting for something to happen but it never got to that point. The thing is this ainโt that type of film. From what I see people really like it. I just think had I went into it with the right mind frame it might have worked more for me personally. Other than that the acting and atmosphere location is top tier."

"Very slow but I enjoyed it. Liked the bar interactions. Plus I liked the simple viewing of these girls lives.
Tense moments but not a whole lot. And very tame mostly when there is.
Liked the side characters even though none of them really stayed for long just had moments.
It was cool to see a bar setting throughout.
The two main actors did fine. Liked there friendship.
Definitely not something crazy though. But enjoyed it.
Think itโs good definitely not for everyone.
It was nice to see both Julia Garner and Jessica hen wick back. Havenโt seen Jessica especially in a long time.
I definitely needed something slower though. I liked seeing occasional weird things happen. And how realistic and grounded it felt.
Ending was kind of weird but Big fire is something I always donโt mind.
I think movie wise this is definitely a 3 but I actually enjoyed it a 4.
End of review but wanted to mention something. I tried watching sonic 2. Maybe I was just not in the mood for it. But felt way more for kids than the first. Especially some of the music choices. I do want to watch it but if itโs like that the entire movie really donโt think I can. Only got like 15 minutes in as well. The first one had its moments but it didnโt at all make me cringe to that high of a degree.

"Absolutely terrifying to watch as a woman. Really tapped into the absolute fear and tension of being surrounded by drunken, unsafe, predatory men. In that sense it really worked for me as a thriller. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time; several scenes gave me real chills. The acting was excellent; the scenery was spookyโฆ all around I thought it was great."

I watched it, so you donโt have to! Letโs start off by saying it had a good storyline at first, but turned out to be very uneventful ๐๐ปI expected so much more, from not only the preview, but the fact it had the girl from ozarks in it๐sheโs an amazing actor, but ultimately I say, save your time, it was a let down.
