"This movie is so similar to Indiana Jones but less sophisticated basically. Similar music similar dress code, similar characters but the plot is in "Africa " with a primitive portrayal of African culture I suppose . I read the book long time ago and had no idea there was a movie. So there are attemps at comedy. But I prefer Indiana Jones. So 2 stars because story is ok lol
I do recommend if you like old movies. Enjoy!

"Not a bad movie. You can see where they clearly used green screens for some of the film parts due to how old the movie is. It should be noted that even though King Solomon's Mines has been remade over and over again, they wanted to make this version kinda like Indiana Jones, because of the success that they had seen Indiana Jones did a few years before this version of King Solomon's Mines was released as they have the same kind of music and somewhat the same kind of tomb idea and somewhat the same kind of plot as seen in Indiana Jones.
