"This film is also known as Perdita Durango. Some would say this is a Mexican version of Natural Born Killers, but without the benefit of Oliver Stone's brilliant vision. This film is campy, but takes itself too seriously, so the campiness seems unintentional. It's filled with sex, violence, guns, drugs, nudity, blood, human sacrifice and a truckload of baby fetuses. Javier Bardem and Rosie Perez play the lead roles, but the dialogue is horrendous and most of the acting is amateur, except for James Gandolfini who has a supporting role as an unfortunate DEA agent and brings a touch of legitimacy to this film. The story is all over the place and it has a lengthy runtime of just over 2 hours. Overall, it had the potential to ascend to cult classic status, but never quite got there. Definitely not for everyone. 6/10"
