As a non-theater guy, this movie perfectly captured the essence of what theater kids are in my mind. "LOVED IT, it was HILARIOUS and wonderful in every way. With Ben Platt and Molly Gordon as the camp counselors/teachers, Jimmy Tatro as the semi-obnoxious bro type who doesn’t get it, and Noah Galvin as the underrated under appreciated grip, you end up with a truly funny and heartfelt project. The setting is of course a summer camp for theater kids, when their beloved owner/founder is suddenly in a coma, they have to pull it together without her (Amy Sedaris). It’s really beautiful. If you have ever been on the stage, you will get some extra hearty laughs out of it as they absolutely *nail* these personas. I went to college for dance, and we were co-departments with theater. Even with just that amount of exposure I was totally dying. Definitely if you love/know musicals this will also strike an extra chord with you. Watch this one for sure, no matter who you are "
