"Of course, this anime limited series isn't a documentary, but it takes the character of Yasuke, a real African warrior, and the first Black Samurai, who served under the powerful daimyo Nobunaga, in feudal Japan, and puts a cool spin on it. The voice acting is great, but watch out for the bloody encounters. If you want to learn more about Nobunaga, I suggest watching an incredible limited well-acted docuseries, also airing on Netflix, Age of Samurai: Battle for Japan. It is one of the best acted documentaries I have ever seen."
"A Netflix original from a couple years ago. Only six episodes. My introduction to magic in anime, which I understand is pretty common. Good story, great animation and Lakeith Stanfield voicing the fun to root for title character. Takes a super trippy turn in Ep5, which was jolting, but still pretty great. "
"I couldn’t finish it. I’m sorry. It is cool though. "

"Yes! Give me all the different types of super powers. This is the "Marvel Avengers" characters recast into anime characters. A magician, an iron man, a shaman, and a girl that transforms into a werebear, are just a few if the characters. I enjoy broad archetypes of power from my superpower, fantasy, hero genres."
