"4.5⭐️ “We’re not so different than everyone else, you know? We happen like everything happens, partly because how we’re made and partly because of whatever forces are acting on us. Everything in the galaxy is one thing becoming another thing. And every person is constantly growing into another version of themselves into another and another. We’re all in transition. It’s the most natural thing in the world.”….
I adored this lovely, low key, starkly humorous and baringly authentic dramedy. This particular monologue artfully sums up exactly what SORT OF is. It traverses so much territory ~ discovering who you are and what or who you are responsible to, navigating family and cultural dynamics when you no longer fit into them, defying expectations, yearning for your place in the world, and love, longing and found family. For all that it entails it’s never heavy or trauma laden and, in engrossingly immersive 20 minute episodes, binges effortlessly. Still somehow, each seems longer than it is, coming surprisingly to its conclusion because…how could so much emotional territory be covered in that amount of time?….
Bilal Baig is a revelation (both as creator and star), a study in subtle micro expressions and bordered emotions. The writing is perfection, balancing deadpan wit with intimate confessionals. The tone an old soul melancholy equipoised with youthful exuberance….
This series is too far under the radar and so under appreciated. Please...just watch it. And when you get to that monologue, make sure to look at Sabi 🥹🤗"
"This is such a great show! A great “day in the life” exploration of queer and straight people figuring out how navigate relationships with one another. I’ve definitely enjoyed watching the cast of these interesting personalities interacting with each other! I also love how for the most part they tackle some pretty big issues in a way that doesn’t feel anxiety inducing, the show has a very laid back feel and approach to many relationship issues and I really appreciate that. I definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a show that involves exploring gender, queer, and straight relationship issues and broaches them interesting ways."
"The only series I ever binged in one day. Thrilled to learn Season 2 just dropped."

"Right. So I binged the entire first season in one sitting and I loved it. What I love most about this show is how Sabi, the lead is an even-keeled, monotoned truth bomber, meandering with compassion. The gender issues here are present, but not all-encompassing, tragic and in constant suffering. They're handled as life issues, as they should be. What the series is really about is relationships and how we become entangled with those we give our time to, for whatever reason. Watch this. Love this."
