"Crime Scene: The Times Square Killer —
@RicoLoveDinero This #docuseries suddenly popped into my head just now since I know you’re watching THE DEUCE on HBO Max at the moment — This is a documentary that I watched before I hopped on the LIKEWISE app, but it gives a very realistic, accurate portrait of what #NYC, particularly #TimesSquare, was like in the #1970s —
⚠️ But I’ll give a warning to anyone else who decides to watch:
▪️This TV miniseries about the “Torso Killer” (Richard Cottinham) is ATROCIOUS 😩 IT’S GROSS!!! 🤮 He was a sick son of a bitch that looked like a dirty, filthy Santa Claus 🎅🏼 … a sadistic Santa Claus! It also shows the dismal, crime-riddled, super seedy, predatory, & freakin’ scary side of NYC 😱 …. Live S&M Peep Shows?!?!!! 😧🤮🤢 DISGUSTING!!!!
And one thing I learned from this: Apparently the AIDS epidemic in the 1980’s is what helped turn around & sanitize Times Square — the epidemic woke up a lot of those sexually perverted idiots — So, sex clubs, massage parlors, etc. became less prolific.
If you choose to watch this, you will need to follow it up with a “happy” show ~ something like EMILY IN PARIS 😍 … 🤩 😉 Hahaha"
"I just finished season one episode three and this is a limited series"

"Way too much emphasis on the sex trade industry. "

"As a native New Yorker I never heard of this killer probably because I was a child when this was happening. This to be one of the most prolific serial killers. He admittedly has killed over 100 women but not all these women have been found because most (not all) were sex workers. At that time in NYC sex workers weren’t really given full protection of the law because of what they did and unfortunately a lot of these women were labeled “Jane Doe.” Fascinating. He is still alive and incarcerated. "
