"A great series that centers on corporations rather then nations as the Gundam franchise usually does, though the Gundam’s of this series become outlawed as the have the effect of killing their pilots. Worth watching to see how a new direction is brought but never realized and how one young girl will pave the way in the mysteries and dealing of corporations at an academy!"
"God, this is everything one would want from a prestige drama, with political and business intrigue and subtle nods to real life issues (notable unethical fictional pretty boy character Elan Ceres, or at least the non-clone version of him, has GOT to be based off Elon Musk) and interesting sci-fi ethical dilemmas (is making Gundams actually war profiteering? Are there alternative ways to make money in an economy that prides itself on war? What similarities do the marginalized Earthians, who barely have labor laws and whose planet is used hellishly, to the similarly impoverished Mercury?) is mixed with well written female, LGBT (specifically bisexual or pansexual for Suletta and likely lesbian for Miorine), Black, Indigenous, and fat characters that are refreshing to see in anime. In addition, the tight plotting, romantic intrigue (that isn't annoying for me as a gray aromantic to see) and even interesting characterization for some of the male characters is fascinating to see for an Utena referencing anime, where arguably none of the male characters were redeemable. Instead, it's somewhat of a synthesis of the "some of the guys in the story are irredeemable (Shadiqq and original, non-clone Elan are notable examples) but despite other male characters' flaws, it is shown that their often cruel actions are a result of nurture rather than nature". The only flaw I would say the anime has is more up to the production staff: the frequent delays of the anime. I doubt we'll get a full cour by the end of the year, and we'll probably only get a full cour by 2023. However, it's not essentially the producers' faults because it's more due to scheduling issues than anything else. Overall, probably one of my favorite anime I've seen period. Hooked me from the very prologue with Ericht (who is most likely the similarly named Gundam Aerial)."
