"I'll be honest it did intrigue me, but I only watched it because I was bored. Man am I glad I did! Don't get me wrong the beginning can be a bit murky to get through but once you get past the first couple of episodes you're kind of hooked. The magic keeps you invested and the jokes do too.
Plus even though she is an anti-heroine you root for her in everything. Whether that be falling in love or not. Then as the story progresses everything gets so much better! Truly I can't comprehend why it's strangely addicting.
However, the beginning is slow & the video game shorts are jarring & uncomfortable. Riri is annoying & the design is both creepy & endearing. I couldn't figure out how he managed to stand out always then I realized, he's the only character with different color eyes & hair. Its strange but I love it.
At first I thought it was some dumb satire yet the characters turn out to be real deep & Captivating. I loved the perspective of one of the love interests at the end. Plus the main character progresses in a good way without losing her core. It's great.
It even seemed like a bad video game adaptation, yet things progress in unexpected ways. You want to finish it to be fully aware of its greatness.
I do realize that you might lose interest but at the same time I didn't & I didn't even do something else in the background, it had my attention. The way the show pushes one direction yet veers towards another as relationships & characters grow is surprising.
To end this review off, I would like to talk about those final few episodes. I love the way things work out & wrap up. There's action, intrigue, & every character has a purpose. I didn't expect it & I love when shows can surprise me. It's a feat not many can pull off, yet this one did.
It is very generic & cliche-ish in the way things go down & the story continues yet it will manage to surprise you. You'll see when it comes to one of the guys entrances. Basically try it out. It might just surprise you too."
"i don’t even know where to start. if i was a non anime watcher this is what i would think anime would be. i’ve only made it to episode four but it is so bad. the main character being the “gamer girl” thing is so cringe to watch. i tried multiple times to finish it but i couldn’t do it. it’s like a bad version of horimiya"
"Really enjoyed this one. The second last episode definitely took a dark tone that felt a little off but still enjoyable and had me at the edge of my seat. Disappointed that the author decided not to continue with the series though and leaves it on a cliffhanger when there is so much potential for more! If the anime does get a second season, (which I’m hoping and praying it will) I’ll definitely watch it as I had a fun time with this and given where the anime left off, I need to know more!"
