In the city people are trapped under multiple layers of debris while officials scramble to figure out and launch rescue efforts; a tiny remote town of trapped and injured villagers must contend with the adventure tourists in their midst who had made it their stopover; and at Everest the hoards of climbing teams and sherpas deal with aftershocks and avalanches in the unreachable valleys of the base damps.
