"I have to admit that at first I turned it. Wasn't until the 2nd try that I decided to keep watching through it. I couldn't find a rhythm and was a little all over the place at first. So you feel the same, keep at it because it's one of those brilliant, well acted, heartfelt shows. Watch it with someone if you can, nice series to share. "
"I’m on the second last episode and I’m leaving a review already. It’s THAT phuckin’ good! This series has left me speechless. The whole story! Young Eli (Felix Cameron) what a talented young boy! About this young boys life, growing up in the berbs’, with his brother, the in-betweens, fights and struggles. This series flowed the entire time. The story itself. Can make you laugh at times, cry others and leave you not blinking. It’s touching, eye-opening and warm. I haven’t seen Travis Fimmel on tv since Vikings! Again, nailed this part! Frankie (Phoebe Tonkin) as the boys mother, beautiful! From her struggles, to her love, while battling addiction. Every. Single. Actor. NAILED their roles. I’m absofuckenlutely rating this show 10/10 ⭐️ it’s a MUST see. Update: I’ve finished this and wouldn’t change my rating a bit! What a wild, beautiful journey! Ended too soon! 🤭"
"Very unique, quirky, special, weird, whimsical, wonderfully written / cast / acted miniseries. Beautiful development of characters, buried in symbols and circularity. Was thrown off in the middle when they switch up the actors - particularly with Eli losing his adorable charm - but came to fully appreciate this as an intentional narrative reflecting his loss of innocence.
