" I'm not a giant DC buff or super fan but I like the concepts and I liked the live action movies for suicide squad as well as anime in general so I gave this a viewing. I watched this a few weeks ago so it's not fresh fresh for me while typing this. At first I couldn't really decide between 4 and 5 stars but now I'm sure. For start, I typically reserve 5🌟 for shows that I love all around and wouldn't mind watching over again and again, beginning to end. Being generous (and bored), i believe this show could only have me for a re-watch of maybe about two full episodes- but skipping around. I had to rate a 4🌟. But I'll tell you why and my thoughts going in and after: Whew! I'll say, I thought this concept of placing them into anime scene was strange but I'd thought could prove refreshing. It absolutely was welcomed. And I'm very happy I did watch. Its a good animation with nice action and great humor. The plot isn't bad -though something to note is that I already feel isekai is way too played out. Even trying to put that aside, I still honestly feel they could've done more with the plot. I did binge it, but it didn't wow me by any means. At times it felt slow but then sometimes there was suspense and I'd be brainstorming solutions right there with the squad. The characters kept me entertained. Filled with personality. "Absolutely hilarious and irreverent 🤣 for an MA rating it's surprisingly clean. There's only two f bombs towards the end of the season and mostly fan service outfits for the women (but that's also just how a lot of DC women are portrayed). The characters are well thought-out and true to original materials. It kind of reminds me of One Punch Man where they just make fun of anime cliches 😂"
