"Very interesting documentary about a woman’s major contribution to the FBI’s development of psychological profiling used to track down serial killers and rapists throughout the 1960s to the 1980s. And of course 40 years later we are now learning about it. "

"Dr. Burgess is a rockstar. Without her, we wouldn’t have the basis for profiling serial killers and violent offenders that we do have today. She also did tremendous work with victims rights around rape. That it was a violent act that had little to do with sex and that the victims had not simply “asked for it” , which was the common thought of the day among most law enforcement. She took on an entire system, a boys club if you will, and won. She didn’t always get the credit she deserved, but she wasn’t in it for the credit she was in it for the victims. I’m glad she is finally getting her due with this documentary. It’s about damn time.

"I was really impressed with this documentary. I hadn't looked closely & thought it was a dramatization at first. It is sharing the life of Dr. Ruth Burgess. She has helped our human understanding of criminal psychology, and also giving those who have suffered trauma, validation. She is critical to our present day existence. There will be familiar criminal names, there is the Menendez brothers case and also the Bill Cosby crimes that are expounded on more.
Highly recommend this to those who have interest in crime stories/docs. And for the credit finally being given to this brilliant woman who has been changing the paradigm for trauma survivors (among other groups). "
"She was so far ahead of her time!!!"

"Excellent series. Dr. Burgess literally changed how crimes are investigated and solved, if not prevented. "
