The pirate adventures of Captain Flint and his men twenty years prior to Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic “Treasure Island.” Flint, the most brilliant and most feared pirate captain of his day, takes on a fast-talking young addition to his crew who goes by the name John Silver. Threatened with extinction on all sides, they fight for the survival of New Providence Island, the most notorious criminal haven of its day – a debauched paradise teeming with pirates, prostitutes, thieves and fortune seekers, a place defined by both its enlightened ideals and its stunning brutality.

"This is one of the best shows ever created and I’m standing on that. I bet you wouldn’t believe you can get something this superb out of a pirate show but you would be wrong. Great writing complex world building phenomenal cast and a dialogue so powerful it’s like poetry. I’ve never hung onto words like I did in this show. It’s a shame more people don’t actually know about it and those that do understand everything I’m saying. EPIC✨"

"If you can stomach the rape(season 2 and onward they seem to recognize their mistake and stopped ogling assaults) and overlook the worst writing of female characters I've ever seen in the first season there's a legitimately strong story here. In the second season the show really has the wind to its back and you start to see how these characters are doomed to become the desperate characters of Stevenson's 'Treasure Island'. Every character is motivated by their own conflicts and desires, and apart from the rare contrivance that's the result of being a 'Starz' show, it makes for excellent, compelling drama.
- season 3 seems to be much weaker with a lot of characters feeling like filler. "
"Couldn't get past the 1st episode. "
