"I like the first season of The Cliff, better than the second although the second season is completely recommendable. The element in the first season that zhuhzed it up is the paranormal/mythological undercurrent in the political, environmental, and cultural protests which framed the drama. The old world reach is fascinating and distracting in what is multi- layer feminist, romantic, estranged and orphaned family crime and murder dynamic. Watch season one first, season two does not offer the same juxting of the senses. "
