"My wife loves this anime, I don't. It's repetitive, it copies the formula of some other animes but without the stakes. Like yes there are stakes in this anime, but no matter what the other person is going to win through ridiculous methods and coincidences. There's another gambling anime that is really really good and has actual stakes and actual losses. I like that anime better I like seeing the guy actually lose one of his fingers at one point and I like seeing there being consequences. There's not consequences in this anime, half of the time it's very fetishy, like straight up these guys can be sold into slavery or into infinite dept, and I'm pretty sure some of them would do it on purpose just to become pets for other people. No one's addressed what happens when somebody gets a pet they don't want, or if nobody gambles. It's just a very forced plot. But if you enjoy this that's fine, I just don't think it's a very good anime with a very good plot. In fact, I would argue it doesn't have a plot at all."
