"A nice twist to the original film set as a series, when a couple that is in need of trip together to help them remember what they lost over the years. While hiking the couple ends up in the town of Schmigadoon, where nods to musicals are daily and love is in the air. Worth watching as the couple learn about themselves and the town as they try to leave!"
"just have to say that season 2 aka schmicago was spectacular. as a theater fan, watching this with a fellow theater fan, we had the time of our lives. how is it such a parody and yet so original. it’s honoring musical theater and poking fun at it. it’s everything and i’ll be listening to the soundtrack like crazy. "
"It’s the perfect parody comedy musical that this trend of reboots has been missing. Reminds me a bit of Dr. Horrible with Galavant and Starkid productions where it makes fun of everything. I like Cecily Strong but haven’t seen much from her career outside of SNL that really amazed me until this. It’s such a random assort of celebrities with great acting, funny songs and great costuming. "
"as a fellow musical theater nerd, this show and its references are so wildly entertaining to watch. the absurdism of finding yourself in a real musical land while having to save your relationship is endearing, but hilarious. (spoilers: season 2) having s2 be in “schmicago” and exploring the different eras/genres of musicals was brilliantly done and i really like all of the songs. "
"Hilarious . I didn’t think I would love it but ended up being hilarious and I can’t wait for the next season . "

"I wanted to like this series, really. But I have a few quibbles. Some of the songs feel very copy-pasted from other musicals (like the first song is definitely taking a lot of cues from Ohklahoma!) which I understand is mostly the point, but I’d prefer original songs to actually feel original. The episodes tended to drag on, and the songs especially. When the main joke is that the songs are overly long, it gets old VERY quickly. I did enjoy the characters themselves, and the performances were excellent. "
