"Note, as I have seen some confusion, that this is not the Harlan Coben series on Netflix and is also not a show. This is a film with Maika Monroe, who tends to gravitate toward darker, more psychologically thrilling, involved roles, about a ride-share driver who gets the shock of her life when she encounters a dangerous passenger who has murder on the mind. All she can do is flee as he psychotically tracks her every move around the city. He is utterly deranged and pursues her like no other as she fights for her life. While an interesting premise, the execution was a little less than desirable. I found myself watching how long it had been on instead of focused on what was going on in the movie. Perhaps it was a little dull, slow-moving, and cumbersome in ways beyond description, as I had no emotional attachment to Clare, Monroe’s character. I felt l was playing detached spectator in an emotionally muted plot that didn’t keep me invested, which is my sign that this movie didn’t reach me in the ways I would’ve wished. "
