A heartwarming and playful novel about the ones we love and the ones we lose by the New York Times bestselling author of This Time Next Year What would you do if 'the one that got away' turned up the night before your wedding? Head-in-the-stars Audrey is about to marry down-to-earth Josh. Though they are polar opposites, they have a healthy, stable relationship; Josh is just what Audrey needs. But romance should be unpredictable and full of fireworks, and as the big day approaches, Audrey’s found herself wondering if Josh really is "The One." So, when Josh’s sister shows up to the rehearsal dinner with Fred, Audrey’s "What If? guy"—the man she met six years ago and had one amazing day with—Audrey finds herself torn. Surely Fred’s appearance the night before she is due to get married can’t be a coincidence. And when everything that could go wrong with the wedding starts to go wrong, Audrey has to ask herself: Is fate trying to stop her from making a huge mistake? Or does destiny just have a really twisty sense of humor?

"What a lovely story 😭 I’ll start off by saying I initially had a hard time getting into this book because the beginning was too messy for me and I found Audrey to be annoying at times. However, the mess I do like is when the love triangle drama unravels. I LOVED the multiple timelines and how the story builds up until the wedding day when everything then falls apart just to be mended back together. The ending was very satisfying and I loved that everything was eventually tied together. Josh is definitely one truly amazing book bf that I don’t think I’ll ever get over. Overall, this is a cute light read with some moments of grief and trauma. And yes I cried of course. I wouldn’t read this again but I would recommend. :)"
"i really loved this. i felt a really big connection to it as it kinda relates more to my life than i expected. i knew josh was the one from the beginning and had no idea the twists and turns it would take. shows true love at a realistic standpoint. we need people to ground us especially if some of our heads are always up in the sky "
"Very cute, a little slow at the beginning but once the book picked up I could not stop reading. "

"This book has my heart. It has plot twists, realistic events and SO much drama! I love how it ends and once I read some of it, I couldn't stop. The characters are interesting and Oscar worthy! The different timelines of each chapter open a new perspective to the book. If you want to get into reading or are already a bookworm, this book is for you!"
"Quick read, very well written! Went through all the feelings between sparks of that “fated” and “what if” love and the steady slow, reliable love. Fell in love with all the characters"

"I think if I was in a different mindset than I was when I read this book, I would've enjoyed it better. Unfortunately at the time it just felt a little boring and repetitive to me. I have read other books by Sophie Cousens and enjoyed them a lot. I'm definitely not finished with this book forever for sure! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me in exchange for my opinion!!!<br/><br/><br/><br/>My bookstagram is @bookreviewsbyjules on instagram<br/><br/><br/>My blog is bookreviewsbyjules.blogspot.com<br/><br/><br/><br/>"
