"The characters and plot were alright, but imo there was too much graphic sexualization of a teenage witch. Would recommend reviewing trigger warnings before starting this."

"•SPOILER WARNING• I finished the book in two days. There is a lot of things this book is not but it is definitely fast paced. I enjoyed the book, but I feel I only enjoyed it so much because of the low expectations I had for it. I went into the book knowing that It was not going to be some piece of art (the cover and painting edges are tho) I was knew the book was going to be more of a dark “Wattpad” book, if you know what I mean. However I did really enjoy the idea of the book, not the romance. I hated the relationship between Gray and Willow. I’m not even going to try and get into it, just know I wanted to bang my head into the wall anytime they interacted. Willow herself really irritated me as well, the author was trying very hard to make her the main character. The author brought up her “perfect body” and hour glass figure any chance she could get. Also her inner dialogue KILLED me. She was just very annoying. The ended was a little confusing & hard to follow, however that could have just been me. Even with all of the negatives I’ve named (there are more) I did enjoy the book. At least enough to give it 3 stars. If you are planning on reading the book please make sure you read the trigger warnings. I’ll list them here as well. *The Coven is a dark paranormal romance with gothic vibes and a dark academia setting. The male lead in this series is pushy, domineering, and manipulative. Trigger includes: •dubious consent, •forced feeding, •graphic violence, •rough and explicit sexual content, •forced proximity, •betrayal, •references to past abuse and traumatic reactions to triggering stimuli, •knife violence, •graphic descriptions of blood, •physical harm inflicted upon the main character, and •ritualistic murder. Read at your own risk. "
"Enjoyed it, wasn’t sold until the ending. Now I’m buying the sequel immediately! "

"The Coven by Harper L. Woods was an interesting read that kept me hooked from the start. It follows Willow, a young witch sent to Hollow's Grove University, a school full of dark magic and secrets. While I enjoyed the plot, the romance between Willow and Gray felt a bit off because of her age. Gray, the headmaster, is a powerful but mysterious figure, and their relationship threw me off at times. Despite that, the world-building and storyline were compelling, especially as Willow sought to protect her brother from a family curse. I’m giving it 4 stars, definitely a captivating read with great potential!"
"The was a very SLOW book. I was worried they nothing would happen but around 80%, the story picked up! Half the time I didn’t know what was happening. The pieces were so far apart that I couldn’t figure out what was happening until the end. I would say that if you enjoy slow burn with EVERYTHING happening at the end, like the last 95%, you will enjoy it.
SPOILER FOR MY MEMORY*************
********************************************
Willow is sent there by her biological father after her mother passed away. She has a little brother named Ash (diff dad), which is her only weakness. She was sent there to the school retrieve her dead aunts bones. The headmaster is Lucifer in a vessels body and Willow somehow married to him. He marked her as a baby which is total not creepy in any way. There was a weird ritual where the 7 princes of hell emerged carrying Lucifer’s sleeping body. He told her the only way he can love her is to wake him up, which obviously she doesn’t want to do. "
"That was really ******* good, I wouldn’t have minded if it was twice as long"

"Great read!!! I loved the character/world building. I’m eager to read the second book. The ending was unexpected and appreciated. My feelings are torn on both the FMC (Willow) and the MMC (Gray). The **** was kind of a slow burn but the plot was interesting enough that I didn’t mind. I loved the “touch her and die” vibes but also loved the fact that he respected her ability to handle her own. My only dislike about this book is the way certain words or descriptors were used multiple times. Overall rating is 4/5 stars! "
"<strong>I’m so mad!!!!!</strong><br/><br/>I loved Gray!! Why?! Why did you do this to me? I swear if the second book doesn’t have a saving grace for the devil I will lose it and never forgive you Harper! I read this book in 2 days and now I’m just dumbfounded. That twist at the end?! Like what?! Shook."
"I really liked the length of this book. It kept things short and to the point rather than drawing the story out over a few hundred more pages. The cliffhanger was something I saw coming while also just thinking that I’m guessing the most random thing I could imagine. Will I read the next book? Yes. Is it quality writing? No. Did it thoroughly entertain me? Absolutely. "
