From Harper L. Woods, comes The Cursed, the next chapter in her Coven of Bones series--a pulse-pounding romantasy where The Magicians meets Gothikana.Betrayal.He was the deception waiting in the night; the truth I never saw coming. After a lifetime of manipulation, I finally learned the truth. I was his puppet—even if I never saw my strings.Even knowing how deep his betrayal runs, I can’t shake the undeniable connection between Gray and I—the way a single glance from him sets my soul on fire. We are not the same. We're enemies, poised to battle for the future of the very thing I’d wanted to destroy. With the Covenant gone, the revenge I thought I wanted is no longer my priority. The witches that remain played no role in my aunt’s death, and the only person standing in the way of righting those wrongs is the very man determined to keep me in his bed.But the remaining members of the Coven will never forgive me for the role I played in their demise and subjugation, and the worst part of all is that I can’t even blame them for it. I’d been naive, believing my own delusions of grandeur when destiny clearly had other plans for me. Plans that had been set in motion centuries before my birth. But even that had been a lie, and now it is my duty to do everything in my power to undo it.To protect my Coven from my husband’s hatred—no matter what the cost.At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

"•SPOILER WARNING• I’m just going to start off with wtf… literally what did I just read? I definitely enjoyed the second book a lot more than this one. The ending was confusing and a bit overwhelming. Same issues as the last book, Gray makes me sick. Willow is still irritating but even more so. Iban (or whatever his name is) ****** me off and everything would have been fine if he had just died when Gray threw him over the stairs. This book was really not a satisfying ending to the series, felt like there is too many loose ends. "
"Decent sequel but wasn’t a satisfying ending for me tbh. The first one was better with a cliffhanger "

"The Cursed was just okay for me. I found the plot a bit vague, and it didn’t captivate me as much as the first book. It felt like this sequel focused heavily on the physical attraction between Gray and Willow, and I was uncomfortable with the frequency of their intimate scenes, it was a bit much for my taste. While I do think their chemistry is intense and well-written, I wanted more plot development and less emphasis on the “spicy”. The book had so much potential after The Coven, but I felt like it didn’t live up to the foundation that was set. I enjoyed the adventure and the magical world, but I wished for a bit more balance between the romance and the overall storyline."
"I love Harper’s Beyond the Veil series so I read The Coven and The Cursed. I generally do not like academia (dark or otherwise) so I knew going in that I may not like it. (Hated all the Zodiac Academy books for example) I felt like these two books rushed the story, drew out the **** and left plot holes. My initial reaction was “meh…” when I finished it."
"THERE BETTER BE A THIRD BOOK! I really really love Gray. He’s one of my top 10 book boyfriends! So protective and loving! This book was so good! The plot is awesome amazing! And boy did the spice get kicked up a notch in this book! Amazing! BUT FOR REAL, THERE BETTER BE A THIRD BOOK!!!!"
"In reality it’s a 3.5 for me. I like the theory of the plot but it definitely needed more… I needed more story, less sex, which is rare! The plot that was there often felt like it took way too long to get to the point, which is where it could’ve been more concise and allowed for more context. I would’ve liked to know more of Grey’s Fall. I would’ve liked to know more of Willow’s rule!"
