The cult thriller novel is back in this all new edition which features the original text as it was meant to be published! Dubbed one of "The Most Intense Horror Novels" ever written by many horror review sites, The Summer I Died is the first book in the Roger Huntington saga and soon to be a major motion picture. When Roger Huntington comes home from college for the summer and is met by his best friend, Tooth, he knows they're going to have a good time. A summer full of beer, comic books, movies, laughs, and maybe even girls. The sun is high and the sky is clear as Roger and Tooth set out to shoot beer cans at Bobcat Mountain. Just two friends catching up on lost time, two friends thinking about their futures . . . two friends suddenly thrust into the middle of a nightmare. Forced to fight for their lives against a sadistic killer with an arsenal of razor sharp blades and a hungry dog by his side. If they are to survive, they must decide: are heroes born, or are they made? Or is something more powerful happening to them? And more importantly, how do you survive when all roads lead to death? "A tense, bloody ride!" - Brian Keene, author of The Rising "If you want to freak yourself out on your next camping trip, you can't really do any better than The Summer I Died." - BloodyDisgusting.com

"😱wow! I have never ever read a book like this! Ever. The gore…… the feeling of this is so sick I have to look away but can’t. I rate this 5⭐️because as sick as it was, I could not put this down. It’s was surprisingly well written and I cared about the main characters. This book is not for the faint of heart. I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into when I started this. I will think about this book for a long time and I don’t think that’s necessarily a good thing 😮💨😮💨😮💨 only read this if your are ok with extreme gore and torture. "

"I couldn't put this book down..NOT ONE SECOND! This is what I was hoping true splatterpunk horror books would be! Such a horrific, bloody, brilliantly well written book, it was just incredible! Get ready for this ride, if you can, with the horrors that await in the woods. Not for the faint of heart whatsoever."
"DEFINITELY a huge warning to anyone reading. It's definitely a shock value book, lots of gore and disgusting things. I can handle anything, I'm even in forensics and have witnessed autopsies so I can handle anything but even this book I had to pause and take a break. It's wild. #gore #horror #gross "
"I found myself covering my eyes and turning away from the page only to realize… this isn’t a movie. I’m going to have to read what happens next in order to get past it.
Absolutely phenomenal book. I’m more into thrillers - or at least I was. But this book really grabbed me in a way that no other ever has. I’m actually searching for more horror stories just so that I can get my mind off of this one. Absolutely worth the buy. The first handful of chapter does some character building that I honestly started to get tired of. But once the plot takes over I quickly understood why. There is no time left to delve into the details of who the characters are as people. The trauma just starts and never stops. "
