"This book was so beautifully written! The author created wonderful characters that I could empathize with. As a kid who grew up in Appalachia I have had those exact same thoughts! This book was a little more romance heavy than I like, at times I felt the horror elements took a back seat to the romance. If you are someone who reads romance and want to dip your toes into the horror genre, this is the perfect read for you!"
"This was an interesting YA read. Has a gothic, southern romance essence. Laurel Early drops out of school and returns to work her family tobacco farm where she lives with her uncle Jay. She's joined by friends Isaac, Garrett, and Ricky; working the tobacco fields through the summer. Laurels mother Ann died on this very land they work, she was found dead at the bottom of the property well. (Thought to have been suicide) Laurel takes up an unusual hobby; collecting and working with bones;Taxidermy.

There's a love triangle emphasized throughout this plot, Laurel loves Garrett (wait, was it Isaac she loves?) Issac loves Garret, who maybe loves him back. Isaac kisses Garrett and then kisses Laurel."
