"I think this 2nd installment in the series is a notch above the first. While I like parts of the first film, this one is a better watch throughout. I think folks who like found footage/faux doc should give it a watch. Tho, you probably want to watch the first film, since this film references it."

"While maintaining the same formula I liked about the original...this one lacks one key element that made the original good to me....I actually cared about Gary and what happened to him. Trying to expand the universe and try to tell the story of multiple missing people....74 min leaves no time for much of anything. Not terrible but seriously lacking in comparison to the original. "Bit of a let down considering the set up left by the final moments of its predecessor. There’s a lot to like here with moments of creeping dread and a subplot of a serial killer that showed promise but ultimately the director doesn’t really have an endgame and the story goes nowhere. Even more odd is the plot and character focus completely changes for the last twenty minutes of the film and even then there’s no payoff. I felt like the creative minds behind this are writing scenes that would be cool and scary instead of writing a story because sadly there’s nothing coherent here. It’s all just kind of thrown against a wall with the hope that something sticks. Pretty big let down as I truly thought the original was an intriguing premise and the sequel possibilities endless. "
