Moon Garden

"Because I’m not a fan of the horror or art house genres, I don’t know if this is good or not. I do know it’s interesting, weird and creepy. It’s shot over three years on a literal shoestring and paper mache budget. It’s obvious the writer/director used to be an editor. Here the star is his daughter, who was four when filming started. She falls into a coma and has to travel through this nightmarish Alice in Wonderland dreamscape of monsters and grossness. I think the late Adam Yauch would be proud this is the kind of movie his studio puts out today. "
