"Warmly funny and gorgeously sexy."—New York Times Book ReviewA LibraryReads PickHouse Rules: Do your own dishes Knock before entering the bathroom Never look up your roommate online The Wheatons are infamous among the east coast elite for their lack of impulse control, except for their daughter Clara. She’s the consummate socialite: over-achieving, well-mannered, predictable. But every Wheaton has their weakness. When Clara’s childhood crush invites her to move cross-country, the offer is too tempting to resist. Unfortunately, it’s also too good to be true. After a bait-and-switch, Clara finds herself sharing a lease with a charming stranger. Josh might be a bit too perceptive—not to mention handsome—for comfort, but there’s a good chance he and Clara could have survived sharing a summer sublet if she hadn’t looked him up on the Internet... Once she learns how Josh has made a name for himself, Clara realizes living with him might make her the Wheaton’s most scandalous story yet. His professional prowess inspires her to take tackling the stigma against female desire into her own hands. They may not agree on much, but Josh and Clara both believe women deserve better sex. What they decide to do about it will change both of their lives, and if they’re lucky, they’ll help everyone else get lucky too.

"Went into this one with no expectations or idea what the premise of the book was loved the turn it took! This story is fun and there is plenty of tension without the story getting boring. Josh is also the sweetest and I always love a guy who falls hard. This book is like a piece of candy. It’s fun, sweet, and simple. Nothing overly complex about it but super enjoyable none the less. The spice in this book is very fun and somehow manages to build more tension without drawing everything out to the end like a slow burn. 2.5-3/5 🌶 level. "
"Truth be told, I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed this one! The setup had me rolling my eyes at first, but I was quickly won over by the quippy banter and down-to-earth characters. And I loved how much care and consideration the author put into making enthusiastic consent the cornerstone of every steamy moment. If you’re looking for a fun, spicy, story about forging your own path in the world, finding love, and learning that you absolutely deserve pleasure without shame or guilt, this is perfect!"
"this book is so stupid. sometimes i get bored and look for the corniest **** i can find. and i found it. her loving her best friend and the outcome of it was so?? i don’t even know. i don’t even remember half of the book it was that bad. when i think of the people who actually enjoyed this book i think of moms"
"I'm a little torn on my review and rating for The Roommate. Overall, I loved it. The story concept was great, and I had so much fun reading it. However, I found myself really only rooting for one character - I loved Josh, but was not a huge fan of Clara. She annoyed me, and it just got worse with the direction the book went in at the end. The book had been so good, and then took a complete turn at the end. I can't really say anything else about it. Anyway, I enjoyed it overall, and I'm really looking forward to the second book about Naomi."
"Quick read, enjoyed the characters and different perspective with the sex industry part. "
