"So heres the thing. It was good, but it was just fine. I enjoyed the read overall ;a mystery needs to be solved and the small details/clues that lead to the answer.
I think if I read this to complete the series, maybe I'd be more invested. As it stands, I read it for Halloween. I wanted spooky/fun Halloween reads, and the only mention of Halloween was at the beginning.
So if you're reading for a good mystery, it has it. If you're reading it because it's the month of October - there are other things that fit the bill."
"This was for sure one of my least favorite AC books I’ve read. It was good in the beginning and the end, but the middle dragged on and I had a hard time getting into it. I put this book aside so many times for other books which is unusual for me because typically I power read through an AC novel."
"This book was a solid 3.5/5 stars! This book was a slow read for me, but I only think that's because it was written in the 60s so the writing style and wording is a little different. Other than that, I will always love a good Agatha Christie murder mystery! I was hooked throughout the whole book, trying to guess who had done it and when they revealed who it was ... I was caught off guard! Agatha Christie really knows how to confuse the audience and it's always the person who you least expect!"

"Late Poirot was never my favorite... The series become invested with what I can only describe as bitterness for young people near the end of Christie's career, but usually is so inaccurate-feeling that it's just funny. THIS one however I kind of liked. The story is super confused and convoluted and the ending sounds really dumb, but the characters were delightful and relatable, at least for me. Besides that, a terrible book. Shocking for Christie, even so late."
