"The Circle series was the one I grew up reading on repeat. It holds a soft spot in my heart. So when I went to pick up this series- this book especially was a hard read. First, based on language and story, I can tell it's an earlier book. Second I strongly dislike the major jumps in time that is used. I'm sure if I had grown up reading it, I might have the grace and forgiveness of nostalgia."
"Wasn’t bad, I just never really found the end goal in the book which kinda ruined the plot for me since I didn’t know what was being built up to, other than that it was good, the battles were solid, and I liked Alanna’s reveal at the end as well "

"The 2nd book in the Alanna series and it begins with her now a Squire to Jonathan. Her suspicion for Roger grows, she finally gets an idea of her true path, she meets new friends/allies, war breaks out and her secret is threatened and she balances her new found emotions and body changes that come with womanhood. This book is about her last few years till completion of her shield. #fantasy_and_magic #fantasy #female_knight #knights_and_knighthood #yafiction "
