"SO. Another vampire/ monster romance✨🖤
Let me address a few things First, did I enjoy this book? Yes. Was this book a bit confusing? Yes. And is it spicy? Not really.
Hints at a mobster gangs, holding both vampire and god societal ranking during the 1800s. Many of the verbal discussions between characters are French, some of which I had to look up because I was confused. I enjoyed the plot, and I think that because the series continues it holds a lot of water. However, it isn’t very spicy, very plot and background building. I wanted more romance, more lover quarrel. The ending was a great twist, though a bit of a loop here and there. Spice level is like a 3…
Great plot, great description, good character setup. Overall about a 5.5 on the scale, hoping for more in book two!!! 🦇🦇"
"Drop me in a cool setting, make it atmospheric, give me romance and monsters, and I'm a happy girl.

Negative points are that I still don't understand the fallen/brotherhood dynamic and I don't like that. Also the shadow villain (trying to avoid spoilers here) said Celine started to guess their identity and I was like when? Where? How? Idk I'm just a confused girl and if there was a solvable mystery there were no pieces that clicked for me even after the reveal.

Also lol to the villain being revealed as the villain and immediately busting out his true Cockney accent."

"I wasn't expecting much going into this book because I got it from Walmart without actually looking into it, I just picked it because the cover was gorgeous. I was thoroughly upset when I discovered it was a vampire-based story, and being so it took me a while to get into it. However, I really REALLY enjoyed this book. The gothic setting is absolutely incredible and the characters are amazing, I loved every single one of them, especially Odette. As I mentioned the book is a vampiric romance- +"
