“Bridgerton fans will swoon over this entertaining romp through Britain’s Regency-era high society.”—People"A Lady's Guide to Fortune Hunting is a sharp, modern, and absolutely delicious take on the marriage plot. Sophie Irwin's debut is one of the most fun, romantic books I've read in a long time. I cannot wait to see what she does next." --Taylor Jenkins Reid, New York Times bestselling author of Malibu RisingA whip-smart debut that follows the adventures of an entirely unconventional heroine who throws herself into the London Season to find a wealthy husband. But the last thing she expects is to find love…Kitty Talbot needs a fortune. Or rather, she needs a husband who has a fortune. Left with her father’s massive debts, she has only twelve weeks to save her family from ruin. Kitty has never been one to back down from a challenge, so she leaves home and heads toward the most dangerous battleground in all of England: the London season. Kitty may be neither accomplished nor especially genteel—but she is utterly single-minded; imbued with cunning and ingenuity, she knows that risk is just part of the game. The only thing she doesn’t anticipate is Lord Radcliffe. The worldly Radcliffe sees Kitty for the mercenary fortune-hunter that she really is and is determined to scotch her plans at all costs, until their parrying takes a completely different turn….This is a frothy pleasure, full of brilliant repartee and enticing wit--one that readers will find an irresistible delight.

"The audiobook is well worth a listen (bonus points for having Eleanor Tomlinson, aka Demelza from “Poldark” as the narrator; her involvement definitely bummed up this book in my estimation). However, it was just bit too slow burn for my liking and this was closed door which I’m not opposed to per se, but I would have preferred to know beforehand. This would be as close to a Jane Austen or a Georgette Heyer novel, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this would definitely be the novel for you."
"Very cute and an easy read, love the ending! "

"Why hasn't this book been turned into a tv mini series yet? This book is a fun romp through the eyes of a sympathetic, determined character. I actually really enjoyed the chemistry between her and the main love interest a lot.
What I appreciate is how pragmatic Kitty is about her situation. I think the hardship she'd be facing at that time in her situation is accurately represented and believable. This makes us able to actually like someone who is genuinely courting just to get money.
There's a lot of delightful scenes that had me giggling to myself and I found it REALLY hard to put this book down. The ending is very sweet and satisfying and overall it's a fun and light read for whenever you need a pick me up."
