"Baby Teeth made my favourites shelf, so I had pretty high hopes for Getaway. I wasn’t disappointed. I read a lot of reviews with complaints about the slow start, but really, I thought it played out at the perfect pace. The characters were quite complex and deeply interesting, and I really enjoyed the way Gale was humanized throughout the novel. It gave you pause and made you feel that maybe everything wasn’t quite so black and grey. And the ending.. Perfect.<br/>The novel was reminiscent of The Woods Are Always Watching by Stephanie Perkins. Sort of a YA version with a similar storyline. If you enjoyed this novel, I’d definitely suggest you check it out. Great read."
