In the #1 New York Times bestselling Mercy Thompson novels, the coyote shapeshifter has found her voice in the werewolf pack. But when Mercy’s bond with the pack—and her mate—is broken, she’ll learn what it truly means to be alone... Attacked and abducted in her home territory, Mercy finds herself in the clutches of the most powerful vampire in the world, taken as a weapon to use against alpha werewolf Adam and the ruler of the Tri-Cities vampires. In coyote form, Mercy escapes—only to find herself without money, without clothing, and alone in the heart of Europe... Unable to contact Adam and the rest of the pack, Mercy has allies to find and enemies to fight, and she needs to figure out which is which. Ancient powers stir, and Mercy must be her agile best to avoid causing a war between vampires and werewolves, and between werewolves and werewolves. And in the heart of the ancient city of Prague, old ghosts rise...

"*Reread and first time listen: I love this series and I love Lorelei King. The guy reading took me a while to warm up to. After I did, I got lost in the story, even during his parts.*

Can I just say akldjfalkndfkja!! Or say Matt Smith!! Briggs totally got me. I sat stunned for a few moments before carrying on. Well played, Briggs, well played.

So Mercy is in trouble yet again. Seems to be a permanent problem since she rescued Adam all those books ago. One of the reasons why I love Mercy so much is because she can take care of herself. She can defend herself well, even without the speed and strength that the werewolves have. She has and can use a gun. She has proper training with a gun. Mercy is no damsel in distress. Her mate and husband did rush to get to her, but he is wise and knows that his wife is strong enough to survive. I think that is why their relationship works so well.

I felt like we saw Adam's side more than Mercy's. I'm not sure if that is true and it's not even a negative. I think the Lord of Night story line was so intriguing and different. I'm convinced that Briggs is the master of progressing her stories, keeping them from feeling the same or growing boring.

Matt Smith. Damn."
