"This book has been on my TBR for so long I am glad to finally have been able to check it off my list. This book had so many twists and turns I wish I hadn’t seen the show first because I would have loved it that much more. I feel like the show got more into the other side characters and not just the three main ones but I was glad to be able to know what the three main ladies were thinking. "
"I really wish we could rate 1-10.
I am thinking a 3.5 but leaning higher.
The book started for me with surface characters and subjects (helicopter parenting/gossiping) that do not interest me BUT then....the author digs a bit deeper into a couple of characters as the book progresses and then touches upon a deeper subject

worth reading."

"4.5 stars!

I enjoyed this way more than I was expecting!! I watched the tv show and loved it so I never really had any interest in picking up the book but my friend recommended it for my 12x12x12 this year and I’m really glad she did! I obviously knew the overall mystery because of the show but I loved all of the little things that played out differently in the book and I thought the conclusion was especially great! It’s one of those books that are pretty long but honestly everything needed to be in the story so it made sense! Anyway, just really enjoyed this one!"
"Big Little Lies is an absolute 5-star masterpiece. This book expertly combines sharp humor, intricate storytelling, and a deeply emotional exploration of friendship, motherhood, and the hidden complexities of the suburban life of the characters.

From the first page, the author pulls me into the intertwined lives of her characters, blending mystery and drama with moments of genuine warmth and wit.

The narrative structure, jumping between timelines and perspectives, it was just amazing.
The themes of secrecy, resilience, and the ripple effects of violence are handled with care and nuance, making the story more real and personal.

The characters are authentic and relatable, keeping me interested in their journeys until the end of the story.

I think this is the kind of book that I like the most because it’s a perfect combination of everything I’m looking for.
I truly recommend this book and for me it’s the perfect pick for overcoming a reading slump."

"One of Moriarty’s best! I thoroughly enjoyed this one. 4.5 stars. Content warnings for sexual assault and domestic violence as well as childhood bullying. Just a good mystery without really being too mysterious, and a window into the lives of people living with assault and DV - who are just like the middle class audience the book is targeted at."
