The 11th installment in the New York Times best-selling A TWISTED TALE series asks: What if Meg had to become a Greek god? After Hercules proves he's a true hero and regains his godship, all seems right in the world. That is, until Zeus tells Meg that she can't be with Hercules because she's, well, mortal. Luckily, Hera has a solution, offering Meg a chance to prove herself worthy of a spot on Mt. Olympus--as a god. All Meg has to do is complete a mysterious quest. The mission? Oh, just to rescue her ex's current wife from the Underworld. The ex-boyfriend she saved by selling her soul to Hades. The ex-boyfriend who immediately moved on to someone else while she was stuck in the Underworld. Can Meg put her past behind her and use her quick-wit to defeat monsters and gods alike, including the nefarious Hades? Will she finally figure out her place and contribution to the world? Or will her fear of commitment have her running away from an eternity of godhood with Herc? Written by the author of Mirror, Mirror and Conceal, Don't Feel, Jen Calonita's latest twist is sure to delight and surprise. "Honestlyyyyyyyy I need to read all of these books officially! This book is based off the Disney movie Hercules. If you remember Hercules love interest, Meg, this follows Meg on her journey to become a Greek god. So basically at the end of the movie, if you remember, Hercules chose to become mortal so he could live on earth with Meg. In this book, what if the only way they could be together was for Meg to become a god? In this book you learn Megs story, why she is the person she is, and why she has such a hard exterior. Hera puts Meg on a quest in order to become a hero and live on Mt. Olympus with Herc. Meg makes a lot of bad decisions, and I mean A LOT— I was very mad at her stubbornness throughout the book but it stayed very true to all the characters. Meg must decide whether her love for Hercules is stronger than what she learned while growing up basically alone. The storyline is AMAZING, there are some twists in there and it is a quick read. It kept me reading and interested and they kept throwing in curve balls. If you love Hercules or honestly Greek mythology, definitely read this book. "
"Less a twisted tale and more a continuation from where the movie dropped off, this is very well told. Megera's story mixed with bits of greek myth, twisted and not, this tale keeps true to the established personalities. Worthy of the disney stamp, it is an exploration of love, sacrifice, and vulnerability. Four and a half stars. "
"It was such a great story! It followed the original story very well with adding the twist in so beautiful. It was a fast-paced read and I really enjoyed following Megara and all the adventures she must go on. Very enjoyable read! "

"It's a decent read. Easy to read and enjoyable. Intriguing story that keeps you interested.
It is unfortunate that the book gets some Hercules facts wrong. Could've fixed it by watching the movie and tv show. Alot of badly placed quotes from the movie.
SPOILERS AFTER THIS.
It is said in the book that Zeus knows where hercules is as a child and refused to save him or tell Hera where he is.
There is literally a part of a song in the movie that shows Hera and zeus watching over Hercules and they are powerless.
In the book Meg's father left them and they were poor and moved around alot. Meg didn't go to school in the book.
In the movie Meg is the daughter of Creon King of Thebas. And her childhood is unknown in the movie and show.
Meg's mother says almost all the sassy Meg quotes, implying that's where Meg learned them. Which is really annoying.
From the TV show we know Meg when to high-school and hung around a bunch of popular kids.
In the book her past love that betrayed her is named Aegeus.
In the movie and show, it is theorized by fans that her past love that betrayed her is Adonis. The popular boy that bullies Herc and his friends.
In the book Meg is skilled at playing the flute. Which comes out of left field.
