A Pretty Woman tale turns toxic and deadly in this provocative thriller of sex, obsession, and murder from Robyn Harding, the “master of domestic suspense” (Kathleen Barber) and the USA TODAY bestselling author of The Swap and Her Pretty Face.Natalie, a young art student in New York City, is struggling to pay her bills when a friend makes a suggestion: Why not go online and find a sugar daddy—a wealthy, older man who will pay her for dates and even give her a monthly allowance? Lots of girls do it, Nat learns. All that’s required is to look pretty and hang on his every word. Sexual favors are optional. Though more than thirty years her senior, Gabe, a handsome corporate finance attorney, seems like the perfect candidate, and within a month, they are madly in love. At least, Nat is…Gabe already has a family, whom he has no intention of leaving. So when he abruptly ends things, Nat can’t let go. But Gabe’s not about to let his sugar baby destroy his perfect life. What was supposed to be a mutually beneficial arrangement devolves into a nightmare of deception, obsession, and, when a body is found near Gabe’s posh Upper East Side apartment, murder. Emotionally powerful and packed with page-turning suspense, The Arrangement delves into the sordid, all-too-real world of shadowy relationships between wealthy, powerful men and the young women who are caught in their web.

"This was a quick read about a poor college student who became obsessed with a wealthy older man. Complications ensued. "

"** SPOILERS **
This was an absolute mind f*ck. I thought the housemaid was one but this…this had me thinking Natalie was a good person. Gabe was a good person…what they had was good despite Gabe’s personal life outside of Natalie. And then it changes so close to the end. Natalie turns crazy, Gabe turns cold and soon dies, Violet seems actually normal, Celeste turns emotionally distant. I was shocked that Celeste wrote that letter to the court but I think she’d rather a clear conscious than letting an innocent woman go to jail for 15+ years. I’m just baffled that Violet and Celeste were part of Gabe’s murder. I thought Natalie got bad but they got worse. I’m so confused in how I feel about the characters now but oh my lord."
""This lifestyle is addictive."<br/><br/>The Arrangement was such an entertaining read! I'm always on the lookout for thrillers with unique synopses since so many sound the same now, and The Arrangement definitely stands out. I truly appreciate that Robyn Harding cared about the story she was telling and researched the storyline. She joined a sugar baby site, and interviewed sugar babies to make sure that it was accurate. It's such a fascinating story, and she put everything together really well. <br/><br/>My only issue with The Arrangement was all the exposition at the end. I felt like I was being told instead of shown how it wrapped up, and it felt odd after being so invested in the storytelling. I still loved the book, though. <br/><br/>The Arrangement was such an addicting read, and I highly recommend picking it up if you need a new suspense story. This one also has a delightful serving of drama, and I'm glad I read it."
"Good, easy read. Somewhat predictable but still worth it. "
