"4.5 ⭐️ I was not ready for the direction this book goes. The first 45% I struggled and even considered not finishing, but then the first twist revealed itself and I could not stop. I was not mentally prepared for the emotional turmoil I was about to endure. I did not see TWs for this book, but it would be good to know going in that there is child loss and domestic violence that was hard to read at times. I became absolutely engrossed in the story and the twists had me gasping. This book will haunt me."
"Loved! The first 160 pages I felt like I was reading a self-discovery novel about a women looking for healing after a trauma, and a cop’s home life/work balance. Then all of sudden this book flips the script and the plot twists 👏 just 👏 keep 👏 coming. I’m actually mad at myself for not guessing the last plot twist. So happy with the ending! "

"Oh, this book! It was really good! I found this hard for me to put down despite the domestic violence somehow.

So many twists and turns with this one!

OK, so with the character development there was quite a mysterious vibe, which I liked. Writing was excellent, easy to follow. It does bounce around between characters, but I never felt lost.

I do wish that there was more closure for the cop's kid, I didn't like that was left as a loose end.

I sort of feel conflicted whether or not I would read this again. Sometimes you really don't want to read a book again even though it was really good. Maybe it was the psycho boyfriend and how he kept churning my stomach. I think this one might stick with me for a while just because of the domestic violence, it was pretty bad.

Happy reading"
