Brian Freeman
In a riveting debut thriller, Brian Freeman's Immoral weaves obsession, sex, and revenge into a story that grips the reader with vivid characters and shocking plot twists from the first page to the last.Lieutenant Jonathan Stride is suffering from an ugly case of déjà vu. For the second time in a year, a beautiful teenage girl has disappeared off the streets of Duluth, Minnesota—gone without a trace, like a bitter gust off Lake Superior. The two victims couldn't be more different. First it was Kerry McGrath, bubbly, sweet sixteen. And now Rachel Deese, strange, sexually charged, a wild child. The media hounds Stride to catch a serial killer, and as the search carries him from the icy stillness of the northern woods to the erotic heat of Las Vegas, he must decide which facts are real and which are illusions. And Stride finds his own life changed forever by the secrets he uncovers. Secrets that stretch across time in a web of lies, death, and illicit desire. Secrets that are chillingly...immoral.

"Gianni & Cara have history that spans decades. He could never fully commit to her even tho he’s been in love with her since high school. Cara finally puts her foot down and refuses to see him anymore. She then gets involved with a family enemy, not knowing Uberto was exactly who Gianni had been warning her about to begin with.

Cara is betrayed by Uberto and put in an auction to be sold as a slave. Gianni had someone working on the inside and was able to bid the highest to win Cara at the auction. Once she’s back under Gianni’s protection, he coerces her to marry him. He convinces her that with the Marino name it will guarantee her protection.

I really enjoyed this book! The spice was very hot! Gianni Marino can put a diamond collar and leash around my neck and order me to kneel any day of the week. I loved the history and chemistry between Cara & Gianni. The plot was very good also!

I need to go back and read book one now. It is about Gianni’s twin brother Dante. These can be read as stand-alone, but it does have interconnected characters. I have to see what happens with Massimo in the next book! The ending was shocking!

Dark, Second Chance, Mafia, Suspense, Romance, Dual POV, 1st Person, Marriage of Convenience

ARC REVIEW

5/5⭐️
3.5/5"
