"This was such a strong follow-up to the first book in the series. The stakes felt greater, the adventure, romance, and lore were interesting and kept me flying through this book. This book continues from the events in the last book and we get a lot of answers, history and learn more about Memnon and Selene's past and what led them to where they were in the first book. There was a lot of magic, spells, and steam and it made for a fast paced, adventure-filled book. I loved the fmc Selene's growth and development and how morally grey and badass the characters were. If you need more romantasy with witches, sorcerer spice, and morally grey characters this should be on your tbr! Thank you Bloombooks for this arc!"
