Elizabeth Wurtzel
Elizabeth Wurtzel's New York Times best-selling memoir, with a new afterword "Sparkling, luminescent prose . . . A powerful portrait of one girl's journey through the purgatory of depression and back." —New York Times "A book that became a cultural touchstone." —New Yorker Elizabeth Wurtzel writes with her finger on the faint pulse of an overdiagnosed generation whose ruling icons are Kurt Cobain, Xanax, and pierced tongues. Her famous memoir of her bouts with depression and skirmishes with drugs, Prozac Nation is a witty and sharp account of the psychopharmacology of an era for readers of Girl, Interrupted and Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar.

"Wurtzel wrote a book about the process of writing this book, doing the press junkets, and talk shows — while also living through a harrowing battle with addiction to Adderall & Speed. “More, Now, Again” is marvelous! Written in her self-deprecating and friendly manner, it’s only natural to feel you’re enduring the struggle with her—ultimately leading to a raw understanding and empathy."
"Elizabeth is self absorbed and only complains, but it definitely makes the book so raw and real. She definitely describes and shows depression as naked as it is, so I feel if you don’t like her, she doesn’t like her either. Also, keeping in mind that this was before Prozac was even manufactured so she was trooping through life with nonsense solutions."

"I read about a fourth of the way through this and put it down because it bored me. (much in the way of Bell Jar) Unless someone comes along and tells me how much more interesting it got, I'll let this one collect dust."
