In the fourth of the Bridgerton prequel series, following The Other Miss Bridgerton, we go back to where it all began. . . from #1 New York Times bestselling author Julia QuinnShe was given two choices...Georgiana Bridgerton isn’t against the idea of marriage. She’d just thought she’d have some say in the matter. But with her reputation hanging by a thread after she’s abducted for her dowry, Georgie is given two options: live out her life as a spinster or marry the rogue who has ruined her life.Enter Option #3As the fourth son of an earl, Nicholas Rokesby is prepared to chart his own course. He has a life in Edinburgh, where he’s close to completing his medical studies, and he has no time—or interest—to find a wife. "Just a witty and funny delight from start to finish. I loved the banter between Georgina (“Georgie) and Nicholas, and their overall chemistry throughout the book. I love me a good road trip plot line, as well as some meddling family members, troublesome cats and a few medical jargon terms thrown in for good measure. Also, might I add, I don’t think I have read a historical romance where the hero is a virgin, where the reasoning behind it is all too relatable. I thought this was a really good ending to the Rokesbys’ series from Julia Quinn. I think it is my favourite from this series so far (I have to read the second and the third next)."
"Enjoyable enough… didn’t have quite as much excitement as I’ve come to expect from a Bridgerton-esque tale from Quinn. This Rokesby installment was better than several of the original books, I just wish it was more eventful. For having “scandal” in the title, the whole story pretty much glazed over that part within the opening chapters"
"Georgie Bridgerton was kidnapped by a suitor who needed a faster marriage in order to get money to pay off his debts. She was able to escape, but her reputation was ruined. Nicholas Rokesby, away at medical school, came home at his fathers request and agreed to marry Georgie. While she rejected the proposal at first, when her former suitor tried to ruin her again for marriage and was injured, Nicholas was quietly summoned to help, and they realized they had feelings for one another. They married and together practiced medicine. "

"I picked up this book at a 2nd hand book store a while ago and hadn't gotten around to reading it yet.
However, after I finished watching Bridgerton on Netflix I remembered that I had a Julia Quinn book in my "To Read" pile and picked it up and finished it in 4 hours!
This novel focuses on Georgie Bridgerton (Daphne Bridgerton's Aunt) and Nicholas Rokesby (the Bridgerton's neighbors and famliy friends). It's a take on the classic friend to love interest storyline but it is an easy and quick re"
