"A very good collection of Christmas stories.

Meet Me in Mayfair - I'd give it 3.5 stars. I liked the way it unfolded and how the relationship progressed. It wasn't insta-love but definitely a believable attraction. How the "reveal" was handled well as well.

The Duke of Christmas Present - I'd say 4 stars. I could feel the hero's angst throughout the story and it was interesting to see the past and present show how they got to where they are. I did feel like this one went on a bit too long and I'm sorry, I just have issues with a 10-year separation with still such strong feelings and separation being so long because they were both just stubborn, so that's why I didn't fully love this story. But the way it was written definitely kept me hooked.

Heiress Alone - I'd say 3 stars. This story had some potential and I liked the chemistry between them but come on, there are robbers around so let's go outside the safety of the keep and pick some mistletoe? However, I did enjoy the ending.

Christmas in Central Park - I'd say 3 stars. I liked that Duke was his name, not his title. Mistaken identity stories are tricky for me - done well, they're interesting, but when they're not they strike me as an unfunny Three's Company episode (I just dated myself there). This story was leaning toward the latter but because it was shorter it didn't dwell too long thankfully. I did like how the story progressed after all was revealed.

My favorites were the first two stories but they all were an entertaining read."
"I like Sarah McLean, I have not read any Tessa Dare yet."
