""Later, the four remaining women could fully agree on only two things. One: No one saw the bushland swallow up Alice Russell. And two: Alice had a mean streak so sharp it could cut you."<br/><br/>I really enjoyed this book! I loved The Dry when I read it last year, and have been looking forward to this one for quite some time. Jane Harper is a great storyteller, and I love her mysteries. I was uncertain about how a was going to feel about a survival/adventure-style thriller, but I thought this was really well done. I hope there's another book in the Aaron Falk series!"
"Catches your attention in the beginning; slow build up throughout the rest of the book. A lot of characters and motives involved. "

"So I actually can’t decide which one of Jane Harper’s books I like better. What I really love about both though is the pacing; once it gets to about 75% through its impossible to stop reading! This one was definitely a little more psychological, and I didn’t know until the very end what really happened. I liked how it switched back and forth between past and present, and I loved the red herrings! I had so many ideas of what was going on and was wrong on like 90% of them, so it was a nice change for me!"
