"Get ready for another twisty domestic thriller from the New York Times bestselling author of THE SOULMATE. From the outside, Alicia, Jessica and Norah might seem like ordinary women you'd meet on the street any day of the week. Sure, Jessica has a little OCD and Norah has some anger issues. And Alicia has low self-esteem that manifests itself in surprising ways. But these three have a bond that no one can fully understand. It's a bond that takes them back decades, to when they were girls, and they lived on a farm with a foster mother named Miss Fairchild. Miss Fairchild had rules. Miss Fairchild could be unpredictable. And Miss Fairchild was never, ever to be crossed. In a moment of desperation, the three broke away from Miss Fairchild, and they thought they were free. But the reach of someone with such power is long, and even though they never saw her again, she was always somewhere in the shadows of their minds. When bones are discovered buried under the farmhouse of their childhood, they are called in by the police to tell what they know. Against their will, they are brought back to the past, and to Miss Fairchild herself. DARLING GIRLS asks the questions: what are we capable of when in a desperate place? How much can we hide the demons inside us? And can the past ever truly be buried?"--

"The details of how three girls bonded in a traumatic foster home was interesting. The crime investigation that brought the girls back less so."

"Have you ever wanted to jump into a book and rescue the characters? That’s how I felt reading this. Multi POV format from three foster girls, who become sisters in a house that’s run by someone who would be any child’s nightmare. Disturbing secrets are revealed and I was NOT prepared for that ending. "
"I need no other reason to pick up a book other than seeing Sally Hepworth's name on the cover. What else can I say? Another fantastic read that did not disappoint.

IF YOU LIKE.. dysfunctional main characters, toxic family relationships and generational trauma, then well, read any book by Sally Hepworth, including 'Darling Girls'. In this book, you will follow three main characters who grew up in foster care, each with their own personal struggles rooted from their past trauma they are now forced to confront.

While this one was maybe not my favorite so far from her, I did love every minute of it. Hepworth has such a skill for representing flawed characters that feel natural, real and relatable.

For fans of "The Girls Left Behind" by Emily Gunnis and Lucinda Berry."
"Man! This book was amazing!!!! So many layers to uncover!!

Darling Girls” is a masterful blend of suspense and emotion, a novel that captures the essence of sisterhood entwined with the darkest of secrets. Sally Hepworth has outdone herself with this thrilling page-turner that delves deep into the complexities of a shared traumatic past.

The story of Jessica, Norah, and Alicia, foster sisters raised under the enigmatic Miss Fairchild’s care, is both harrowing and heartwarming. As they navigate the murky waters of their childhood memories, the discovery of a body beneath their childhood home forces them to confront the ghosts of their past.

Hepworth’s narrative is a tapestry of tension and tenderness, weaving together the individual threads of each sister’s experience into a compelling whole. The characters are exquisitely crafted, their struggles palpable and their journey towards healing, inspiring."
