"It starts out a bit slow, but the ending is the damn best rollercoaster your heart will ever go on. The betrayals and the secrets and the sacrifices and the magic are the perfect way to end this tale, and more than enough to leave your head reeling. This trip through mermaids and witches and princes and goddesses is an absolute masterpiece. One you'll be hard pressed to forget."
"This was a book I've heard a lot of people talk about and was definitely keen on getting to (it is a 'Little Mermaid' re-telling after all). <br/>I will admit, it's definitely on the slow paced side, but if you're interested in either the subject of mermaids, 'Little Mermaid' (the book more so), and the era this is set in, I'd recommend this.<br/>"
"Literally loved this so muchhh!!! The background of Ursula, what more do you want?!??! When I was little l always wondered how the villains were when they were younger. Or why the became who they are now. This book has a nice explanation about Ursula. Gosh, I feel like a kid again reading this, but boy do I love it. I'm still debating whether or not I'm gonna read the second book, because of the bad reviews."
"Another fairytale retold with a twist."

"4/5 ⭐️
I really liked this! It wasn’t very romance centered and more so friendship and self growth almost?!? Idk hard to describe but was cute while also having sad and angsty moments.
Sarah Henning’s take on the little mermaid of telling Ursula’s story was interesting and I can’t wait to see what the 2nd book follows."
