"The basic plot was ok. The thing with the graphic novel fails the most at is the execution. There would be time change that didn’t feel smooth. Some scenes feel like there should be longer or need to be more of. Lelek and Sanja become friends a little too quickly. The whole time Sanja was cool with being kidnapped and Lelek pretty much tells her that she can be killed by putting out her candle after it’s only been a few days. I have no idea how much time has past but right at the beginning Lelek was scamming people and didn’t trust people. Once Lelek and Sanja start traveling and get to the first town, she is more nervous and is ok with being invited into other people’s homes.

The representation is alright. This graphic novel has fat, Black and Lesbian. The great thing is the book doesn’t make a big deal about this. It is just there.

The designs were descent. There were just two problems i had. One: Sanja’s on the cover is brown but in the book it’s white. Some other characters have white hair and i don’t like it. Two: there was a scene where Lelek and another black girl were in the same room talking and they look the same. I couldn’t tell who was talking."
"A breathing story of slow-burn love pair with the magic of ink art illustrations in the form of a graphic novel, Witchlight is absolutely stunning. I love this kind of travelling plot to find something that no longer truly exists, yet the travelling isn't meaningless. Its the journey that is worth while. The book speaks to me with a subtle sense of sorrow that I cannot express with my words. The artstly is absolutely adoring, A 3.3/5…"
