A grumpy farmer and a no-nonsense social media influencer have another chance at love in this charming romantic comedy.Evelyn St. James isn’t the kind of woman you forget. Beckett Porter certainly hasn’t. One incredible weekend in Maine, and he’s officially a man distracted. He’s not unfamiliar with hot and heavy flings, but Evie wove some sort of magic over him during their tumble in the sheets. He can’t stop thinking about her laugh. Her hand pressed flat against his chest. Her smiling mouth at his neck. So when she suddenly appears on his farm as part of a social media contest, he is…confused. He had no idea that the sweet and sexy woman he met at a bar is actually a global phenomenon. When Evie disappears again, Beckett resolves to finally move on.But Evie, who has been feeling disconnected from her work and increasingly dissatisfied with life online, is trying to find her way back to something real. She returns to the last place she was happy: Lovelight Farms and the tiny town of Inglewild. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the hot farmer she spent two incredible nights with.

"Such a great book! Very fast paced, and such an easy read! The characters are well developed, and lovable! Small town, grumpy x sunshine, one night stand, second chance romance! This book has a great mix of fluff and spice! Beckett is so sweet, I absolutely adored him! I love the fact that he literally cannot say no to rescuing any animal! This book can be read as a standalone, but certain things will definitely make more sense if you read the series in order. If you enjoy a swoon-worthy romance with a grumpy, tattooed MMC, and a sweet, sunshine FMC then this book is definitely worth checking out!"
"In the Weeds, another installment of the Lovelight Farms series, was an unbearably cute novel. I think it even made me stumble into and find my happy, which is a critical theme throughout, with each of the characters discovering their happiness in uniquely beautiful ways.
Social media influencer Evelyn St. James needs a change of pace. She is stuck in a rut and requires a more long-term break from social media and curating exhaustive content. Her online life is tiring her out and doesn’t feel as fulfilling as it used to. She started out with outreach, telling stories, but feels she has strayed too far from her original intent, goals, and overall purpose.
Enter in handsome, introverted farmer Beckett Porter, here to sweep Evelyn clean off her feet. Together they might just make a masterpiece with brilliant strokes of passion and color. However, with a tendency to miscommunicate, will they ruin the love they feel for each other before it begins or will their charming romance live to see the light of day once they put aside their past and differences?
While I mostly really enjoyed this book as it was cutely cozy to snuggle up to whilst drinking a cuppa, as the British would say, I wish Evelyn and Beckett had more addressed why Evelyn left one night without saying anything in the early stages of their relationship. It felt like this unspoken elephant in the room that none of them completely dared to touch or bring up. Out of fear of being vulnerable or trepidation over ruining something good maybe, but I couldn’t see past the need, as a couple, to more healthily communicate about something so hurtful. To speak openly about fresh wounds is so important and can be very healing, but that aside I still remain this series’ biggest fan! "
"4/5 ⭐️ this is a super cute read! I really like this series and am excited to read the next book. Backett and Evie are freaking cute!! Loved the forces proximity and the silliness of the phone tree. The main conflict seemed a little miscommunication-y and unnecessary but I enjoyed the rest a lot! There is some spice probably a 1.5/5 the Prologue made it seem like it might be spicier than it was but overall really light and sweet read! "
"I have not read a romance book that I genuinely enjoyed in a really long time so this was refreshing. The characters weren't overly annoying and I liked the pacing too which doesn't happen often. Evie is a fun character and Beckett is a cutie. I liked that it wasn't like sunshine grumpy but it did give off those vibes subtly which was nice. Their relationship was just so cute and I really enjoyed reading it although it was a little spicy. Tiny bit of miscommunication bur not enough that it ruined the story for me but I was honestly just being sad for Beckett cuz I loved him and i knew he was hurting. But great read, definitely recommend."
"Unfortunately DNF’d after over 100 pages. The overly detailed sentences were driving me nuts. Not enough dialogue! I don’t know if the author was trying to make a certain word count or what, but it was too much overly descriptive filler with everything and it wasn’t necessary. The miscommunication between the main characters was getting old fast too. We get more from the side characters honestly. A disappointment because I really loved Lovelight Farms! Hoping the next in the series is better."
