Tarryn Fisher
When Fig Coxbury buys a house on West Barrett Street, it's not because she likes the neighborhood, or even because she likes the house. It's because everything she desires is next door: The husband, the child, and the life that belongs to someone else.

"The first part of this book was interesting, but the other characters made me lose interest."

"I read this book back in I believe 2019 because a coworker had mentioned they liked Tarryn Fisher's writing. They ranted and raved about their books and how much they loved them. I looked through her selection, picked this one and said, "Alright, I'll bite." and dove it. What a horrible, horrible mistake.

TLDR: This book is just downright to its core, awful.

Lets begin with the basics. This book is written in three different perspectives. The Obsessed, The Husband, and The Wife. I hated each character equally. Honestly, each of them are psychotic in some way shape or form. Mercy deserves better. She deserves something way way better than all this ****** up nonsense.

Nothing was memorable about this book except for the fact that I hated everything about each character. The writing wasn't even that good to support the book.

Rating: Doesn't deserve the time I read it. I wish I could get it back.

Off to the graveyard you go, Bad Mommy.

I also want to preface that I am now terrified to read Colleen Hoover's books if its anything to compare with this book."
