"I don’t remember a ton of this book except for the fact you hate the main character. She’s not logical or relatable at all. She has a miscarriage and is devastated of course. She befriends a homeless woman and her new born. She moves them in. Ignores her family and her child and focuses all her attention on the homeless woman. She starts thinking the baby is her baby she lost and starts raising her to the point she kicks out the homeless woman and won’t let her take the baby. <br/>The story goes between this woman and the homeless woman. The homeless woman was in foster care as a young adult with a sexually abusive family. She falls in love with the man’s son and they sneak around. One night he kills the foster dad for her and helps her escape. I can’t remember if they ever reunite. Had MJ a couple days after finishing this ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"
"So I probably would have thought this book was amazing if the author's first book hadn't blown me away, but nevertheless it was still very good. What I loved while reading this was that you thought you knew what was going on, until something else proved that you absolutely didn't. There were enough crumbs of info to help you figure it out though, if you knew what to look for. And my favorite part of the writing is that there were so many ready made cliches that were turned on its head, which is refreshing in it own right."

"I really enjoy Chris Belcher's writing about teen angst and coming-of-age, and the writing evolves into something similar to that of Melissa Febos. I liked the shock factors, the honesty, the brutality. This memoir serves a very specific purpose and if you're not digging the first chapter or the synopsis then I recommend skipping it. For me, though, it was great. I'll be thinking about it."
